Jurgen Klopp claims to have found Real Madrid’s weakness

Just days before Liverpool and Real Madrid are set to go head-to-head for the most coveted prize in football, the Champions League, Klopp believes he knows exactly how to exploit Madrid.

According to Spanish media outlet, MARCA Klopp stated in an interview that,

“Marcelo is a player who goes up a lot, but … he does not defend,

“Madrid have no weakness, football is not as easy as saying,

“If Marcelo joins the attack on the right we leave Salah in that space, because our player will meet with Sergio Ramos,

“They need four chances to score twice, in the semi-finals Bayern needed eight to score one, Real Madrid have a lot of experience.”

However, Klopp was also quick to praise Liverpool’s upcoming opponents,

“They all say that Real Madrid had luck eliminating Juventus and Bayern, but it is the third year in a row that they are in a final, the fourth in five years,

“We will hurt ourselves in the final and everything will be decided in the decisive moments when the opportunity arises.”

 Liverpool’s road to the final

Liverpool topped their Champions’ League group finishing above Sevilla, Spartak Moscow and Maribor.

They would then go on to beat Porto, Manchester City and Roma in the proceeding knockout rounds to earn themselves a place in the final.

Real Madrid’s road to the final

Madrid, on the other hand, are looking to lift the trophy for the third year in a row.

Zidane’s men had a much harder group than Liverpool. They faced Spurs, Dortmund and APOEL in Group H. In which they finished second.

They would then go on to beat PSG, Juventus and Bayern Munich in the knockout rounds. Once again, this was arguably a much harder road to the final for Madrid and as a result, they may be slightly more prepared than Liverpool.
